​Dr Hiren Patel

Hiren is our newest addition to our dental team. He completed his undergraduate dental training at the King's College London in 2010. Since graduation Hiren worked in general dental practice in Old Street for a year but soon found he was eager to consolidate his knowledge and skills by undergoing specialist training. Hiren also has a part-time role at Bart's and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry where he teaches implant prosthodontics to postgraduate specialist trainee dentists.

Hiren spent a year as Restorative Senior House Officer at The Royal London Hospital where he gained experience in advanced planning and treatment of medically compromised patients. During this time he also completed the Diploma for Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties awarded by the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MJDF) in 2012.

Hiren then continued his time The Royal London Hospital and embarked on a 3-year post-graduate specialist training pathway in the field of Prosthodontics, a branch of dentistry that focuses on the restoration of badly damaged, worn or broken teeth and the replacement of missing teeth using implants, bridges and dentures. He has been awarded the Masters in Clinical Dentistry (MClin Dent) in Prosthodontics and has been accepted for Membership in Prosthodontics (MPros) by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. As a result of these achievements, Hiren was recognised as a Specialist in Prosthodontics by the General Dental Council (GDC) in 2015. Hiren is currently undergoing further advanced training in surgical implantology as well as undergoing a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Education at the University of Bedfordshire.

Currently, Hiren works at Smile House on Saturday and is able to offer a variety of restorative and cosmetic treatments including veneers, crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, sleep apnoea and anti-snoring devices, anti-bruxism devices, tooth whitening and invisalign orthodontics. His personal interest is in the management of cases of tooth wear, failing crown and bridgework and smile makeovers. Hiren provides a thorough, well-informed and patient-led treatment experience at a specialist level.
